Every married couple wants to have perfect children in order to have an ideal family. The thought of having children does concern them, but at the same time, it fills them with hope and happiness. Those who are ready to take the next step in their marriage and become parents are always on the lookout for the slightest sign or indication that they are about to conceive a child. However, in most cases it is seen that couples do not even know what sort of signs to look for. The main purpose of this article is to enlighten such individuals and give them an insight on the major signs of pregnancy implantation.
Implantation takes place in the fourth week of pregnancy, which is about 5 days past conception. This is when the embryo arrives at the uterus and attaches itself on to the uterus wall, after which it starts to tunnel its way under the walls and begin the process of the baby’s growth.

When implantation begins, it gives way to many side effects which may be taken as indicators that the process has started. One of the first and most annoying indication of all is the feeling of nausea; otherwise known as morning sickness. Like many primary symptoms, the severity of a woman’s case of morning sickness varies between each individual, with few women suffering minor cases to women suffering severe cases. However, more than half of the female population suffers from some level of queasiness. Usually, the nausea ends within the first trimester, but many studies have shown that it may continue for a few weeks.
Aside from feeling any of the signs of pregnancy implantation, there are number of physical gestures of implantation that may be noticeable on a few individuals. One such sign is implantation spotting, which are the appearances of a few miniature brown drops of blood. Though these spots may seem similar to a woman’s regular menstrual cycle, they will occur outside the usual time period. These spots can commonly be seen nearly a week after ovulation and disappear within the next few days.
Along with the spotting caused due to implantation, a woman may also feel a sudden drop in her temperature followed closely by another rise in temperature. This fluctuation usually occurs at about the same time during which the spots start to appear. The increase in the temperature is an important sign towards pregnancy as the temperature will remain quite high if the woman has successfully become pregnant.
Though the signs of pregnancy implantation may seem very precise and noticeable, couples are advised to wait a few days before opting for a home pregnancy test. This is because the hormones that are used to detect pregnancy are not in sufficient numbers to provide a successful test. Furthermore, simply displaying such signs do not ensure pregnancy. Women may experience the mentioned symptoms above but may not be necessarily pregnant; whereas many women who have become pregnant may not notice any of the symptoms at all.
